A strategic online campaign

FNV asked Valo to think along strategically about the best form and content for an online campaign about raising the minimum wage. The goal was to reach a younger audience in the run-up to the elections.

Together with FNV, Valo developed a total plan: a one-off livestream event plus a podcast series for deeper discussion.

Livestream and podcasting

For the livestream event, Valo used a professional mobile studio in Amsterdam. Specialists and stakeholders discussed the minimum wage live from the studio.

In addition, Valo recorded a podcast series led by a professional host. The podcasts explored the topics from the livestream in more depth. Because of the pandemic, the entire podcast series was recorded remotely through a fully digital setup.

Result

The livestream and podcast series strengthened the campaign message and reached not only union members, but especially younger voters. The remote recording setup was hardly noticeable for listeners.
