A larger audience and reusable content
Popunie is a Rotterdam foundation that supports talent development for Dutch artists. Every year it presents the Rotterdam Music Awards, with winners chosen through online voting.
Popunie wanted to reach a larger audience and create more news value. A livestream allowed people to watch remotely while also creating content that could be reused afterwards.
Embedded Vimeo livestream
Valo handled the cameras and livestream for the award show and advised on camera use and streaming platforms.
The show took place in a theatre, where Valo worked closely with the audio team and the party responsible for screen direction. Vimeo was used so the livestream could be embedded directly on Popunie’s own website.
Result
The livestream was available directly on Popunie’s website and also became a source of valuable content. The footage could be used to create separate videos of award presentations and screenshots from key moments.
