Low budget, high connection
The Awesome Foundation creates a €1,000 budget for new city projects through contributions from trustees. Awesome Rotterdam organises pitch nights several times a year, and the announcement of the winners has become a real award show.
Valo was already involved with Awesome Rotterdam as a trustee and wanted to support the project with professional expertise. The organisation used the Valo START package: a simple setup with two cameras and a microphone.
Result
Awesome Rotterdam was one of the first chapters to start livestreaming. The hybrid format allowed around 50 people to attend in the room while others watched online.
People outside Rotterdam, including former organisers and proud parents, could follow the pitch nights remotely. The livestreams also increased awareness of the Awesome Foundation as a whole.
