Online general assembly with legal voting
NVMT has around 2,000 members and, like other professional associations, must facilitate an annual general assembly. During Covid, the association needed a livestream partner to make the meeting accessible online.
The main challenge was online voting. Members had to vote on submitted documents, with weighted voting for board members. Valo brought in a partner with a secure legal voting platform that met the required legal guidelines.
Result
Before the general assembly, Valo broadcast a public lecture. The closed members-only meeting followed afterwards.
Because voting took place online, the result could be shown immediately. The online format led to above-average member attendance, and future assemblies will also be held online or hybrid.
