Awesome Rotterdam
From pitch night to podcast series
The Awesome Foundation is an international initiative in which trustees contribute money to create a €1,000 budget for a new city project. Awesome Rotterdam organises pitch nights several times a year, where local residents present ideas to make the city more fun or better.
The pitch events generated a lot of attention, but Awesome Rotterdam also wanted to know what happened after the winning projects received funding. That led to the Awesome Rotterdam Podcast.
Podcast series and distribution
Valo helped with the technical setup of the podcast studio. In every episode a new guest joined the conversation, with Peter Robbemond acting as host on behalf of Valo.
Valo also handled the podcast distribution and published the episodes on Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
Result
The result was a series of podcasts that created more connection between Awesome Rotterdam and its community, giving winners, trustees and partners a place to tell the story behind the projects.

Price indication
For podcast recording, Valo works with a day rate. A comparable recording day is roughly €650 to €850, depending on the number of episodes and the need for distribution support.
